Frequently Asked
Show Questions
This
is Robert Bloor. If you're like me when it comes to event planning, you
want everybody to be happy (especially the boss), and everything to run
smoothly.
To help you plan, I've created a list of
the most common questions I get asked about my show. However, if your
question isn't answered, don't hesitate to eMail
me or call me at (505)385-0453. I'm always happy to answer any of
your questions!
Thank you!
What's In Your Show? I could tell you but then, well, oh forget it.
I'll spill the beans! Street Magic LIVE! contains classic magic
such as the Cups & Balls, but mixes it in with zany antics and
hilarious comedy, (or so the voices tell us).
But best of all, the show is self-contained!
Is The Show Appropriate? Yes! No children, animals or magicians
were harmed in the making of the show.
As for the comedy, it's fun and clean. There's never any off-color
or "blue" humor.
If you need convincing, just consider the clients I've performed
for. They're fairs, festivals & Fortune 100 companies that would
never tolerate innappropriate behavior.
Are You Right For My Event? If you have an upcoming fair or festival
event, then this is the act you're looking for!
I can perform the show pretty much anywhere there
are lots of people. To give you an idea of how flexible the show
can be, I've performed on streets in New Orleans, on the midway
at fairs & festivals, in club stages for colleges, and in banquet
rooms for corporate events.
How Long Is Your Show?
Fair and festival shows last approximately 25 minutes
each. This allows your guests to have a great time, see an amazing
show, and get back to their corn dogs, cotton candy and midway rides!
I usually recommend the shows be scheduled 30 minutes on, 30 minutes
off.
How Much Do You Charge? You mean I can get paid for this?
Unlike other performers, we don't quote based
on "your budget." (When a performer asks about your
budget first, they may just be trying to see how much they can get
out of you.)
We have a flat fee for fair & festival events.
The fee includes 3 guaranteed show per day.
Depending on the number of days you book, you can also get additional
entertainment options & discounts.
The best way to find out is send us
an eMail and tell us about your event. Request

(Serious inquiries only please)
Is
Your Show Self-Contained?
Yes! We are 100% self-contained. You just provide a
flat-surface about 20' x 20' (give or take) and we're set to go. All
you provide, if necessary, is a basic light wash on stage.
Does Your Fee Include Travel? For fairs & festivals, yes, the
fee is all-inclusive. This seems to work best as it causes less logistics
headaches for you, the event planner.
Why Should I Choose Robert?
Here I go, talking about myself in the third person
again.
Like anyone else you want quality, experience, and unique performance.
There are no boring trick boxes, or little bunnies in my show. (Heck,
there's hardly any hair in my show either! ha!)
This show offers an opportunity for your guests to see a unique
show that will be remembered and talked about long after it's complete.
I'm
A Festival Event Planner & I Need To Stretch My Budget! Understood. I can provide a complete
show package including media appearances, sponsor entertainment, strolling
magic and vendor promotions.. E-Mail
me for details!
Do you ever do "Free"
Shows? Yes. However, I choose the charities that I work with for
free events. Since this is how I make my living, pay my mortgage and
eat, I have a policy that I cannot commit to doing non-paying events
with the exception of those charities I select.
Who Have You Worked For? A ha! Still not convinced!
In that case I present my client list and road reports.
"I really loved Robert's magic!
It was so interactive and incredible. I can't wait to see his
show again!" Ms. Mary Ann Orate
